Emma Rooth — CEO, PCCA UK

PCCA UK has announced the appointment of Emma Rooth as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a key leadership milestone for the organisation as it strengthens its position in personalised medicine and pharmaceutical compounding services across the United Kingdom and Europe.

Rooth assumed the role earlier this month and brings more than 25 years of experience across healthcare, life sciences, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Her appointment comes at a pivotal time for PCCA UK, the UK arm of Precision Health Holdings, as demand for tailored medicines, formulation expertise, and patient-specific therapies continues to grow within regulated healthcare systems.

Before joining PCCA UK, Rooth served as Chief Executive Officer of Torbay Pharmaceuticals, where she led the organisation through a major transformation. Under her leadership, the company evolved into a high-performing contract manufacturing organisation (CMO), expanded its international footprint, and strengthened compliance frameworks to meet global regulatory standards, including preparations for FDA-aligned operations. Her tenure was marked by operational scale-up, infrastructure investment, and sustainable commercial growth.

Earlier in her career, Rooth held senior leadership positions at Bupa UK and AAH Pharmaceuticals, where she focused on public-sector healthcare delivery, commercial strategy, and pharmaceutical services. She is widely recognised for her ability to align clinical priorities with commercial performance in complex, highly regulated environments.

At PCCA UK, Rooth will be responsible for driving strategic expansion, strengthening partnerships with pharmacies and healthcare providers, and enhancing the company’s formulation and compounding capabilities. The organisation plays a key role in supporting clinicians and pharmacists with high-quality pharmaceutical ingredients, technical expertise, and customised medication solutions designed to meet individual patient needs.

Commenting on the appointment, leadership at Precision Health Holdings highlighted Rooth’s deep understanding of the UK healthcare ecosystem and her proven track record in scaling pharmaceutical operations. Her leadership is expected to accelerate innovation while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Beyond executive roles, Rooth also brings governance experience as a Non-Executive Director with life sciences and digital health organisations, contributing to strategic oversight and long-term growth initiatives. This blend of operational leadership and board-level insight positions her well to guide PCCA UK through its next phase of development.

Emma Rooth’s appointment signals PCCA UK’s ambition to play a leading role in the future of personalised medicine — combining scientific expertise, patient-focused solutions, and strong leadership to support evolving healthcare needs across the region.
