Jason Maynard—Appointed CEO of Qualtrics

Jason Maynard is the Chief Executive Officer of Qualtrics. He starts working as the Chief Executive Officer of Qualtrics away. Jason Maynard also gets a job on the Board of Directors of Qualtrics. He takes the place of Jim Whitehurst and Mark Gillett who were in charge for a while. Now Jim Whitehurst and Mark Gillett go back to the board. Jim Whitehurst will still be the Executive Chairman of Qualtrics. Jason Maynard is the Chief Executive Officer of Qualtrics and he will be, on the Board of Directors of Qualtrics.

Maynard is now in charge of Qualtrics at an important time. Qualtrics is spending money on artificial intelligence and getting ready to finish buying Press Ganey, a company that helps with healthcare analytics for US$6.75 billion. This purchase will help Qualtrics get better at understanding what customers employees and patients think and feel. Almost half of the people who already use Qualtrics are using intelligence to make their experiences better. Qualtrics wants more of its customers to start using intelligence and Maynard will help make this happen. Qualtrics is excited, about intelligence and it will keep working on making it a big part of what the company does.

Maynard is an experienced person in the technology field with about 30 years of experience working with software. Recently Maynard worked at Oracle as the Executive Vice President of Revenue Operations. He started working at Oracle when they bought NetSuite in 2016. At NetSuite Maynard did a job helping the company grow a lot. He helped increase the revenue a lot, five times more and also helped get a lot more customers. When he started NetSuite had around 11,000 customers. By the time he left they had over 43,000 customers. Maynard was very important, to the growth of NetSuite and Oracle. Before he became an executive Maynard worked for 15 years as a technology analyst at banks like Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse and Wells Fargo. He was really good at his job. People thought highly of him. Maynard was a ranked technology analyst at these major financial institutions, for a long time.

When Maynard started as the CEO he said some things that were really important. He talked about how Qualtrics needs to understand what people are going through and use Artificial Intelligence to make decisions. Maynard thinks this is the key, to helping Qualtrics grow in the future. He wants to make sure he hears what the customers, partners and employees of Qualtrics have to say. Maynard is committed to listening to them as he starts being the leader of Qualtrics.

The people on the board really like the idea of Maynard being appointed. Jim Whitehurst said some things about Maynard. He likes the way Maynard has been able to build cloud businesses that can grow easily. Jim Whitehurst also thinks Maynard knows a lot about what’s happening with technology especially when it comes to how Artificial Intelligence is changing the way companies deal with customers and employees.

Ryan Smith, who co-founded Qualtrics said that Maynard is a leader and he knows a lot about the market. Ryan Smith thinks Maynard will be very important to Qualtrics as the company tries to grow and take advantage of opportunities, in the industry. Maynard and his ideas will help Qualtrics have a next growth phase.
